What you need:
The items needed to make your own ivy wreath can be purchased at most garden centers. You will need a coconut fiber liner, a wire form, and ivy plugs. The first step is to soak the coco-fiber ring in water over night. This will soften it up and make planting the ivy plugs much easier. |

| Next fill the coco-fiber form up with potting soil. It’s a good idea to mix in a tablespoon of slow release fertilizer. |

| Pack the soil firmly into the bottom of the form and add more soil if necessary. |

| Now place the coco-fiber backing on the form and secure it with the wire backing. You will also want to attach the hanger at this time. |

| The coco-fiber forms come with pre-made holes, but it may be necessary to widen them with a pair of shears. |

| Next, start planting your ivy plugs. Place one anywhere there is a hole in the coco-fiber form. Be sure to really push them into the soil well. If they aren’t far enough in the soil, they will dry out and die. |

| Once you have all of the ivy plugs planted, weave the individual vines through the metal form. Don’t worry if it isn’t filled out right away. In a few weeks the ivy will fill in any spots that are bare. |

| Water the wreath thoroughly, and it’s finished. |

| After a few weeks the ivy will fill out and the result will be a beautiful ivy wreath. |
